AT15 Timing Belts (15mm Modified Metric Trapezoidal)
AT15 timing belts are heavy-duty modified metric trapezoidal belts with a 15mm pitch, designed for the most demanding linear motion gantry systems, large-format CNC machines, heavy industrial automation, and extreme-torque positioning drives. AT15 is the second-largest pitch in the AT-profile family, positioned between AT10 (10mm) and AT20 (20mm). The 15mm pitch provides deep tooth engagement and very high shear strength for applications that exceed AT10 capacity.
AT15 timing belts are manufactured from polyurethane with steel wire or Kevlar tensile cords and are available in both closed-loop and open-end (continuous roll) form. AT15 fills the gap between AT10 and AT20 for applications that exceed AT10 capacity but do not require the full size of AT20. AT15 for Heavy Linear Motion
AT15 is specified for the heaviest linear motion gantry systems in European-designed automation, where AT10 has reached its load limits. AT15 applications include the largest CNC router gantries, heavy stone and metal cutting tables, bridge cranes with belt-driven positioning, and large-format waterjet systems.
- Open-end urethane AT15 with steel cord is the standard construction for extreme-load linear motion. Cut to any length. Joined with mechanical connectors or welded splices.
- 75mm and 100mm widths are the most common for heavy AT15 linear motion. 150mm for the most extreme loads.
- Steel cord provides 0.02% elongation under load, maintaining carriage position accuracy over travel distances of 5 meters or more.
- AT15 is chosen over AT10 when carriage weight, acceleration forces, or sustained torque requirements exceed AT10's capacity at maximum available width.
