T2.5 timing belt part numbers follow the metric T-profile convention. The number before the profile code indicates the pitch circumference in millimeters, and the number after indicates the belt width in millimeters.

T-profile part numbers are straightforward: the pitch length in millimeters comes first, followed by the profile designation (T2.5), then the width in millimeters after the hyphen. T2.5 Timing Belt Width Guide

T2.5 vs. Other Small Pitch Timing Belts

T2.5 Timing Belt Materials

Polyurethane T2.5 Belts

Most T2.5 belts are manufactured from polyurethane with steel tensile cords. Polyurethane construction provides excellent abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, and very low particulate generation. These belts are well suited for cleanroom, food-contact, pharmaceutical, and medical device applications. Polyurethane T2.5 belts are available in both closed-loop and open-end (continuous roll) form for custom-length cutting.

Neoprene (Rubber) T2.5 Belts

Some manufacturers offer T2.5 belts in neoprene (rubber) with fiberglass tensile cords and nylon tooth facing. Neoprene T2.5 belts are less common but may be specified for general industrial applications where polyurethane is not required.
