Brewer Timing & HTD Idler Pulleys
14 products
Brewer's 14 timing belt and HTD idler pulleys are toothed designs that mesh with synchronous belt drives without disturbing tooth engagement. Two pitch standards covered: 8mm (Powergrip H.T.D. 8M) and 14mm (Powergrip H.T.D. 14M). All HTD variants are needle bearing construction by default for the high-torque positions these belts typically run.
The toothed profile matters. A standard V-belt or flat belt idler running against a timing belt back will degrade the belt teeth quickly. The HTD idler's teeth engage cleanly with the belt's teeth on the contact side, transferring tension load without slipping or shearing the rubber.
Brewer's H.T.D.® system is dimensionally compatible with Gates Powergrip® H.T.D. and equivalent timing belt drives. The pitch designation tells you the belt spacing: 8mm pitch goes with 8M belts (typical for medium-duty packaging, conveyor, and machinery applications) and 14mm pitch goes with 14M belts (heavier-duty drives in larger industrial equipment).
Also stocked: 14 timing pulley idlers for non-HTD synchronous belt drives in XL, L, and H tooth profiles. These are the lighter-duty timing belt standard for office equipment, light packaging, and precision positioning drives. If you are not sure which pitch standard your drive uses, measure the tooth spacing on the belt or call us with the belt part number.
