Timing Pulley Bar Stock

Timing pulley bar stock is pre toothed pulley material that lets a machine shop produce finished custom pulleys without cutting teeth: part off a blank at the face width you need, bore it, and add hubs, flange seats, or special features. This collection stocks 988 sizes from 8 to 180 teeth across MXL, LT, XL, L, and H imperial pitches, metric T and AT series, and 2 mm through 8 mm curvilinear profiles, in aluminum and steel.

Divide the maximum usable length on the product page by your finished face width plus a parting allowance. A 6 in usable bar yields roughly five 1 in face pulleys after parting.

Can bar stock pulleys be flanged?

Yes. Machine a flange seat on the blank and press on flanges from the timing pulley flange collection, matching the flange inside diameter to the seat. Flange at least one pulley per drive when belt tracking is a concern.
