Bandsaw tires are the cushion between your blade and the wheel. When they wear out, crack, or harden, the blade loses tracking, cuts wander, and vibration increases — leading to rough cuts, broken blades, and wasted material. Urethane is the superior replacement material: it lasts significantly longer than rubber, maintains consistent grip on the blade, resists heat buildup from friction, and won't crack or dry rot over time the way rubber tires do.

If you're unsure, measure the diameter of the wheel (not the tire) on your bandsaw. We carry 9", 10", 12", and 14" sizes — covering the most common benchtop and floor-standing bandsaws.

Remove the old tires by peeling them off the wheels. Clean any adhesive residue from the wheel surface. Stretch the new urethane tire around the wheel rim — start at one point and work around the circumference. The urethane stretches enough to fit over the rim without adhesive in most cases. Re-tension your blade and check tracking before making cuts.
