What Are Oil, Chemical & Heat Resistant Belts?
Oil, chemical, and heat resistant conveyor belts are engineered for environments where standard SBR rubber compounds would degrade rapidly. MOR (moderate oil resistant) belts use nitrile rubber compounds that resist swelling and deterioration from petroleum-based oils, animal fats, and vegetable oils. SC-MOR (self-extinguishing moderate oil resistant) adds flame retardant properties. SOR (severe oil resistant) belts provide maximum resistance to concentrated petroleum products. Flame resistant belts meet MSHA and other regulatory requirements for underground mining and fire-hazard environments. High heat belts use EPDM, EPM, or silicone compounds rated from 400°F to 700°F for foundry, steel mill, cement, and hot material handling. Texas Belting stocks all configurations custom cut to width.
