Diesel Belting Timing Belts

An industrial timing belt (also called a synchronous belt) is a toothed power transmission belt that meshes with matching grooves on a toothed pulley. The teeth provide positive engagement with no slip, maintaining exact speed ratios between the driver and driven shafts. Industrial timing belts are used for conveyors, packaging equipment, CNC machines, servo drives, pumps, compressors, and any application requiring synchronized, maintenance-free power transmission.

Pitch selection depends on your drive's torque and speed requirements. Smaller pitches (3M, XL) are for light loads and small pulleys. Medium pitches (5M, L) handle general industrial drives. Both are curvilinear profiles with rounded teeth. HTD (High Torque Drive) is the standard curvilinear design. GT (Gates Tooth) is an optimized version providing near-zero backlash, up to 25% higher load capacity, and lower noise. GT3 is the current generation, using HNBR rubber for wider temperature range.
