Both are radius belts for curved and spiral conveyors. The EC254 R has a collapse factor of 2.1–2.4, making it suited for wider curves and standard spirals. The EC254 TR has a tighter collapse factor of 1.4–1.6, designed for compact spiral freezers and coolers where turning radius is limited.
Which EC254 model is best for freezer applications?
The EC254 PR16 in Polyethylene (PE) is ideal for blast freezers and IQF tunnels, rated down to -73°C / -99°F. The 16% open area allows cold air to circulate through the product. For spiral freezers specifically, use the EC254 R or EC254 TR radius models.
Can I add flights and sidewalls to EC254 belts?
Yes. The EC254 C and EC254 PR16 support a full range of flights (T25 through T100), cleated flights (TC75, TCH75), and sidewalls (h=25mm to h=100mm) for incline and decline applications. The EC254 R supports T25 and T50 flights. The EC254 TR supports T25 only.
How does the EC254 compare to the MD254 series?
Both use 1" pitch, but the MD254 has a thicker, stronger module designed for medium-duty loads with higher belt tension requirements.
